I’m MichellE!

I’m the self-taught florist and creative mind behind A Rose’s Thorn. My journey has been anything but traditional. I originally pursued a degree in Art with a focus on graphic design, but life led me toward a more practical path in Accounting and Finance. While it was a shift from my creative roots, I’m grateful for the experience—it gave me the business skills that now help me run my floral business with both passion and purpose.

No matter how much my path shifted, my creativity was always at the core of everything I did. Over the years, I explored various artistic avenues—designing cakes, offering interior design and decorating services, planning and styling events, and creating branding materials for small businesses. But the moment I started working with florals, I knew I had found my true passion. There’s something special about transforming spaces with flowers—it brings me both joy and a sense of peace, and I pour that feeling into every arrangement I create.

Organized, determined, and a perfectionist at heart (thanks to my Virgo nature!), I now channel my creativity into florals—my own form of art (A.R.T). Through custom designs, I strive to bring beauty and meaning to life’s most cherished moments. Whether it’s a wedding, an intimate gathering, or a just-because celebration, I truly believe flowers have the power to make every occasion unforgettable.
